These terms cover your use of Proven Founder. By claiming a handle or signing in, you agree to them. If you disagree with any part, do not use the product.
What the product does
Proven Founder reads tools you connect (GitHub, Stripe, and others you choose) and turns what it finds into one public page. It only ever reads: it never posts, writes, or acts on your behalf anywhere, including on any tool you connect, X, or LinkedIn. What it reads and stores is described in the Privacy Policy.
Your account
You sign in with GitHub, Google or a one-time code sent to your email address. You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for keeping that account secure. One handle per account; handles are first come, first served, except for a short reserved list (route names, obvious impersonation, and abuse) that we may release to a rightful owner on request.
Your content
Anything you type — your name, headline, bio, company, page layout, project titles and lines — is yours. You control whether it is public. We only ever display it as you wrote it; we do not edit it, except to enforce the length and format limits described in the product itself.
Links, snapshots and updates you send
A private link works for the period you chose, until you withdraw it, and anyone who has it can see what you chose to share: share it with care, and withdraw it if it goes to the wrong person. A snapshot is a copy of your record at one moment; anyone with its id can open it until you withdraw it. You are responsible for what you send to your investors, and you may only send to investors who accepted your invite. An investor can stop the emails at any time. We are not responsible for what a recipient does with what you shared.
What you give us permission to do
You give us the permission we need to run the service: to store the content you type, to read the tools you connect, and to display your page as you set it. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from the short backup period described in the Privacy Policy.
Accuracy of the record
The numbers on your page are computed from what your connected tools report; we do our best to read them correctly, but we do not guarantee they are complete, current, or free of the connected tool's own errors or outages. A number that looks wrong is worth telling us about, but it is not a promise we make. The record shows activity and totals from your tools. It does not judge the quality of your work, and raw activity such as commits can be inflated by someone determined, so it is a record of what your tools reported, not an audit.
Plans and billing
Every paid plan (Founder, Pro Founder and Investor) starts with a free trial of 14 days. A card is required to start it, nothing is charged until the trial ends, and each account gets one trial. If you do not cancel before it ends, the card is charged for the plan you chose and again at each renewal; cancelling during the trial ends it with nothing charged, and you keep the free page and your data. The free page is free forever: it has no time limit, it needs no card, and we will not start charging for it. Without a plan you stay on it. Paid plans are monthly or yearly, prices are in euros, and they renew automatically until you cancel from Settings, where cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps your plan until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are processed by Stripe. If something you paid for did not work, write to hello@provenfounder.com and we will make it right.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Connect a tool or account you are not authorized to connect.
- Use the product to impersonate a person or business, or to claim shipped work that is not yours.
- Attempt to bypass the read-only nature of a connection, or to access another founder's private data.
- Use the product in a way that violates the terms of a tool you connect it to.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or remove an account that violates these terms, that is squatting a handle in bad faith, or that we reasonably believe is abusive or fraudulent. You may delete your account at any time from inside the product, or by writing to hello@provenfounder.com.
Availability
Proven Founder is provided as-is, without a guarantee of uptime. Features and pricing can change; if a price changes, it applies from your next renewal and we will tell you before then.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Proven Founder is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the product, including from a connected tool's own outage, error, or change in behaviour.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country where you live, and you can bring a dispute before the courts that have jurisdiction under those rules.
Changes to these terms
If these change in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page.
